About the Playwright
A mixed-media artist, writer, intuitive healer, and entrepreneur. Mallory Raven-Ellen Backstrom was a finalist for the National Playwrights Conference at The O’Neill, and is a Tutterow Fellow at Chicago Dramatists. Nurtured in writer’s rooms at Victory Gardens, The New Colony, Jackalope Theatre, and The Story Theatre New Play Festival. She’s the author of the anthology, Fairy Tales for Sun-Kissed Women. Mallory is a guest lecturer at the University of California-Davis and Illinois Humanities. She's a producer and content creator at There Be Dragons.
